Hi I'm Logan

I love the smell of fresh cut grass, the anticipatory blare of a train horn, and hiking tall mountains.

About Me

I believe that challenges make you stronger. Everyone has trials that test and prove them, and I feel like the things I have faced have helped me to be where I am today. I lost my parents at a young age, and had to grow up fast. Through it all, I really had to rely on my Savior Jesus Christ, and the power He has to heal and help us push forward with joy in our lives. I have a wonderful family, two little sisters that have been through a lot with me, and an adopted family of three older sisters, a brother, and Mom and Dad. I love them all. They truly are God's gift to me. I enjoy outdoor activities like camping, hiking, ATV Riding, boating. I served a mission in the Washington Everett Mission. Even though I completed my two years of full-time service, I still love missionary work. Really, it's all about the Atonement of Christ. I love that I get to help people access that cleansing, comforting, wonderful power by helping them accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ through baptism. I love seeing lives change. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to transform a life littered and battered by sin and misfortune into a masterpiece, and as an advocate of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I get to be on the front row to watch it all happen. Its the best thing ever. I love sharing my testimony of Christ through music. I'm thankful for the feelings, thoughts and impressions that we can share through this powerful medium.

Why I am a Mormon

When I look at other religion, they seem to lack one thing. Consistency. As I have served as a missionary, I have seen other religions, and even seen people of the same religion on the same street that have totally different beliefs. I know this is because when Jesus Christ was crucified, and his apostles killed as well, the beautiful, simple gospel truths that he taught were taken, cross-examined, torn apart, and dismantled by man... Can you begin to see why were so confused in this world today? Why there are so many different churches? I know, by the Power of the Holy Ghost, that a loving Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, have reached out in love again, and restored that beautiful, simple gospel to the earth that has brought peace and a knowledge of who they are, and their divine origin and destiny to millions. But most importantly, it has brought that peace to me. I know that there is truly One Lord, One Faith and One Baptism. (Ephesians 4:5) Why am I a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints? Because I know that it is the only church on the earth that has the power of the Priesthood, the authority to baptize, and a living Prophet. It's the only church that can bind a family together through that Priesthood power for eternity. It's simple, beautiful, consistent, and true. Above all, the gospel makes me happy. Living the commandments of God bring safety. I feel fulfilled and at peace with life when I am living the way God would have me live.

How I live my faith

I once heard a quote that said: "Every challenge that comes to us in life gives us the opportunity to respond like Jesus Christ would have." I've been on both sides of the fence. I've been in the dark, and in contrast, felt the redemptive power of the light. I live my faith by who I am. I try to obey God's commandments because it's really the only smart thing to do. I feel the power of God in my life as I try to do what's right. Eternal Perspective means the world to me. Knowing that God has a plan for me has led me through some difficult times in my life, and I don't know where I would be with out that comforting witness. When I lost both my parents, a lot of people asked me how I wasn't sad, and I often wondered the same thing. But, as I have grown, and gained the perspective the past has to offer, I've learned that I have been strengthened by the power of Christ's Atonement, and the plan that our Father in Heaven has for us, the Plan of Salvation.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Logan
When we have faith in Jesus Christ, our goal is to be like him. For me, having faith in Jesus Christ and his teachings helps me to have a stronger love for those I love. Christ was selfless and taught that we should all have charity, or a pure love. When we strive to develop that love by doing small and simple things we find that our relationships deepen, and we find a deeper level of commitment, even on a friendship level. When we care about others and see them as Christ would see them, we not only become better people, but we help others become better, and come closer to Christ. Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Logan
Nope. While the church will, from time to time, make a public statement about something, they leave it up to the individual member to choose how they will be involved in their community, and encourages them to do so. Show more Show less
