Hi I'm Barbara

I grew up in Whie Salmon, Washington with my 4 sisters and parents. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 6 children and 2 step-children. Also I have 18 grandchildren. I enjoy doing different crafts such as making quilts and Christmas wreaths. I am always looking for new crafts to do. I also love to visit new areas. I like to give service to others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. I was taught the principles of the gospel as I grew up. I was baptized when I was 8 years old. I relied on my parents testimony. My mother became sick with cancer when I was a senior in high school. She died 3 years later. This is when my true testimony came. I was very lonely and I lived by myself. I was praying for understanding and a sweet feeling came to me and I knew that my Heavenly Father knew me and loved me. I knew my Savior died for me that I might repent of my sins and come again to live with Him if I would keep the commandments and serve him . I have never doubted my testimony since.

How I live my faith

I have been able to work with the women in our Ward as the President of the women's organization. I visited with the women in their homes and at church. I organzied activities for the women such as cultural events. I have been able to work with our Ward in service projects such as painting of class rooms at the local elementary school and cleaning up the play grounds. I have had the opportunity to teach young adults lessons on the Book of Mormon. I did this with my husband on a weekly basis.
