Hi I'm Aimee Bovee

I grew up in the shadows of the Jordan River Temple. Love softball, reading and crafts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to create, garden and watch sports. I have always enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting and drawing. As a young woman I often decorated my room with projects and loved reusing or repurposing items. This bode well for me as I continued to study and design clothes, decorations and furniture. My favorite saying has always been a quote from Elder Boyd Kay Packer "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without." I find it rewarding to find a bargin, or change things I own, so that they seem new. I was born into an active family, but fell in love with a non-member. We were high school sweet hearts, went to college together, and married after some inactive years during college. Shortly after college I became a mother of three beautiful children, that I know were sent to me for a specific reason. They strengthen my love of my Lord by actions, sweet comments and even through trials. Being married to a non-member, I was reminded of my responsiblility to expose and teach my children about the gospel. As small children, I would pack them up and head to church. I still marvel at how reverent my children were in sacrament and how others would help me if my two hands were not enough. This made all the difference to me and my childrens activity in the church. I have served in many callings and attend church regularly wth my children and pray for the day our "dad" will join us in our beliefs.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an active family, but was converted when I started my own family. I knew I was responsible to teach them where they came from, why they were here and help them be the vailiant spirits to return to our Heavenly Father again. I also came to be converted after seeing that worldly appetites and desires were not fulfilling, having the holy spirit with me was! I am not perfect, but knowing my divine nature and having a testimony makes me want to continue to improve, it gives me hope!

How I live my faith

I have always felt the protection of my Father in Heaven and in return I have accepted callings, tried to serve others when needs were recognized and continue to pray each day. I have loved working with the youth and children at church and currently serve as a teacher in the womens organization. Although I never feel extremely confident in my callings, I trust that my bishop and Heavenly Father call me for a specific reason, I plan and prepare and I will serve. This has been a blessing for me and my family, but keeping communication about current topics or spiritual lessons for my own personal revalation. I still think the teacher learns more than any student in the classroom and the Lord knows what I need to learn. I also have found living in the mission field most of my adult life that I enjoy sharing what I love with others, be them neighbors or coworkers. It has also made me appreciate the consistency of the gospel and the organization of the church. I know I am recieving the same instruction wherever I live in the world. I also feel I certain obligaiton to be consistent in my actions when I know others around me know I am a Mormon.
