Hi I'm Abby

I grew up in Illinois, then moved to Hong Kong, and ended up in Utah. I love studying language. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After graduating from High School, I began attending university in Utah studying English Education. Since then, I have discovered my love for many other languages-French, Mandarin, Latin, Ancient Greek. My favorite days at school were the ones that had me spending many hours in the library declining nouns, conjugating verbs, and losing myself in translations. At the same time, I worked at a fabric store as a cashier and loved meeting new people and helping them create a plethora of things using the fabrics in our stores. Over the last four years, I have also done quite a bit of child watching for my niece and nephews. Being an aunt has been, by far, one of the most rewarding parts of my life. Watching a child grow and learn and being a part of that, is unlike anything else in the world. I love my niece and nephews dearly!

Why I am a Mormon

There is a light that comes into my life when I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, when I pray, read my scriptures, and go to church. It is a light that I have not found from any other source. In a world where so much darkness and sorrow exists, I choose the light.

How I live my faith

I like to live my faith with a smile. Currently I am smiling 24/7 as a missionary for the Church, serving in the Canada Edmonton mission. I love sharing the things that are nearest to me-my belief in my Savior, Jesus Christ- with the people in Canada. It has been such a blessing to me and my family for me to be able to serve in this way.
