Hi I'm Darcy Dignam

Second oldest of six children, Rugby and American Football player, a film maker and proud Aussie.

About Me

My name is Darcy I've been a Latter Day Saint since birth. I was born in Perth Western Australia and have lived there majority of my life as I have also lived in Sydney when I was younger. I love sports having played a variety throughout my life such as cricket, Australian rules football, rugby and American football (which I had the privilege of playing at both a national and international level). I'm the second oldest of 6 children as I have one older sister, two younger brothers and two younger sisters. I enjoy film making as a pastime and may consider studying it further. I'm a joker at times as laughter is good for your health. My biggest dreams in life is to have a strong happy family, I am so grateful for my own family members and for all that they have taught me and I want to do all I can to pass those things on.

Why I am a Mormon

growing up as a member of the church some may think that that may blind me. Throughout the experiences of my life so far I have come to learn that through learning the principles of this church from a young age I have been able see clearer the choices and purpose of my life. As a child I did not know if this was true or not or really understand what "knowing this is true" really meant. That all came later. Simply believing things because you are told to does not work as it has no connection to you, it will not mean anything to you. I am grateful for one very important teaching of this church that of your "personal testimony". We are encouraged to learn all we can of not just ours but of other faiths also and to truly pray and seek "Truth". I did so and received a confirmation that this is indeed "Truth". It was not until then could I really say that I "know" that this church is true. Up until that point I didn't know. Through sincerely searching I was able to "know" that God exists and that he loves me. being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints is such a blessing to me and I am so grateful for it.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary in the Kobe Japan mission, I love my calling as a missionary as I have the opportunity to share this great message which I love with as many people as I can. I believe example is so important and I make great effort to practice what I preach.
