Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I am married to my wonderful wife Monica and have four children.

About Me

I'm an Army engineer officer and love the chance I get to serve and enjoy my job. I love to spend time doing all sorts of things with my crazy kids and wife, especially outdoors. I love to hunt and fish anything I can when I have time. I like to build things from furniture to homes.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I've always been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have always made a conscience decision to be that way and not take it for granted. It does take a lot of time and energy, but I will always get more in return that I put in no matter what I do. I served a mission when I was 19 to 21 in New York City, NY. I was there when the World Trade Towers were destroyed and it had a great impact in my life and how I view the world. Whenever I'm away from my family I'm reminded just how important they are. Being close to God and living life by his laws I know that I can be with my family forever and that is one of the greatest blessings I could hope for.

How I live my faith

I have done a lot teaching young children on Sundays and in addition to that I work with the Cub Scouts right now. My oldest son has just started and so it's special to do that with him. I have always gone to church every week of my life and it's something I just couldn't do without. My Heavenly Father is always on my mind and I try to have an eternal perspective on everything I do. I don't always speak about religion a lot in my daily life, but it guides most everything I do.
