Hi I'm Brandy

Raised in Upstate New York and now a nursing student . I am a mother, and passionate about helping others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Upstate NY, and a single mother of a terrific young man. I have a college education in Medical Assisting and currently working on finishing up in Nursing. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 1996. Our family enjoys spending time outdoors, playing hockey, volunteering with animal rescues, and other family activities. We also like to do community service to help others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in God the Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ. I believe in following their teachings and commandments. The Church teaches you to be a true disciple of Christ. I believe the Bible and the Book of Mormon is scripture recorded by Prophets. These two volumes of scripture are complementary and teach you how to follow Christ. I believe that families can be together forever. The Mormon faith emphasizes the importance of families and teaches us how to love and serve one another. God's plan for His children is beautiful and eternal and I love to learn more each week in Church and as I continue to pray and read the scriptures. There is a living Prophet on the earth today, he leads and guides this Church according to Heavenly Father's will. I know that this church is the true church of God.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of the LDS Church. But we also have many opportunities outside of Sunday worship to participate in Church activities. My son is in Boy Scouts and is working on achieving his Eagle rank, as well as, participates in seminary. I love that we continue to strengthen our youth. The Church also plans family activities for all of the members that help everyone to get to know each other and have a wonderful time together. I like to spend personal time reading the scriptures, gospel principles, learning more of our Heavenly Father's plan for all of us. My greatest goal is to be more Christlike, serving my family, friends and those in our ward and community is the best way I know of to follow his example.
