Hi I'm Joe

I love politics, Hungary and Nutella. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I hail from Syracuse, UT. I love swimming and running, anything that releases energy. I can be spontaneously funny, but most of the time I'm pretty boring. I love history and politics, and I am aspiring to be the US Ambassador to the UN. My favorite color is light blue and my favorite ice cream flavor is plain chocolate, in case you plan on sending me a blue chocolate-flavored ice cream cake sometime soon. I'm currently studying political science and international relations at Utah Valley University (Go Wolverines!).

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a pretty rational guy. I was born into a Mormon family, but that does not mean by any means that I was a convert at birth. There were times when aspects about my family's religion didn't make sense to me, especially as I went into my teenage years and took college classes. I had to know for myself. Through studying and prayer, I came to know this church is true. I know that sometimes things don't go our way in life, but we can learn so much from them. I know my Heavenly Father lives and loves me more than I can imagine, and that is a great thought.

How I live my faith

I love going to church on Sundays and being instructed on how to be a better child of God. The things that I learn from being a Mormon impact my daily lifestyle, especially as I strive to be more like Christ in my doings and mannerisms. I also served a mission for my church in Hungary to bring more of God's children closer to Him. I absolutely love the Hungarian people and it was an honor to serve them for two years.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Missionaries are individuals who love Christ and want to share it with others. However, it is not for everyone and therefore not everyone need serve. Personally, I feel it a a special blessing to serve God's children in whatever capacity I am given. Show more Show less
