Hi I'm Heather Shoop

I grew up in Utah. I have been called to serve a mission in El Salvador Santa Ana and Belize. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to watch sports and play with my three brothers. I love to meet new people and enjoy other people's company. In high school I was involved in technical theatre, debate, American Sign Language, the Technology Student Association, and the National Honor Society.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad joined the church when he was in his twenties. He met my mom and they married in the Salt Lake Temple and began our family. They had four children, including me, whom they raised in the gospel. I am so grateful to my mom and dad for teaching me basic gospel principles, and keeping me grounded in the gospel. When I was a young teenager, I prayed to know if the church was true, foolishly thinking that something miraculous would happen to let me know if it was or not. But after many long nights of prayer, I realized that I already knew. I knew without a doubt that the church was true. I had known it all my life. I realized that I didn't need a miracle to prove to me that the gospel was true because I already knew it. I know this church is true and I know that we have a true and living prophet on the earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins; that He lived and died for us. He is my Savior. I love Him for all that He has done for me.

How I live my faith

I get to teach the 2 year old children in our ward. I am a going out to serve the Lord for an year and a half in the El Salvador Santa Ana/Belize Mission.
