Hi I'm Alexis

I love to laugh! I love my family, I love doing hair, I love Texas and most of all I love being a Mormon :)

About Me

I am the second oldest of six kids. I am a cosmetologist and doing hair is my passion. I love spending time with my family and those that I am close to. When I have free time you can usually find me reading or playing with my younger siblings. My family is the most important thing in my life and I cant wait till I have a family of my own one day.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was twelve I decided that I needed to know for myself If the church was true. I remember reading the book of Mormon and taking Moroni's challenge to pray to know if the things in that book were true. So I did. And I received my answer. I know without a doubt in my mind that this gospel is true and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christs true and only church on the earth today. Living the gospel has not always been easy for me and there have been times when I have thought that life would be easier if there wasn't so many rules. But every time I had those doubts come into my mind I would remember the feeling that I had when I prayed about the church and I would be reminded of how much the Gospel means to me. My faith was strengthened even more when I was able to serve as a full time missionary. I learned a lot about myself and I developed a deep love and testimony of the Gospel. Conversion is a life long journey, but my mission helped me so much in my journey of conversion. This Gospel has the power to change our lives, if we let it. And my life has forever been changed by the Gospel. Being a Mormon keeps me safe and happy, and that is why I am a Mormon, because I love it!

How I live my faith

Being an active member of my ward has always been important to me and my family. I will always remember countless service projects and how happy it always made me and everyone when we would serve those in need around us. I also was blessed to be able to serve a full-time mission in the Texas Houston East Mission, and I continue to be a missionary and share the Gospel with everyone around me.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Alexis
No not all Mormons are required to serve a mission. Serving a mission is a personal thing and should be taken seriously. I have chosen to serve a mission because I love this gospel and I want to share it will anyone who is willing to listen to me. Show more Show less
