Hi I'm Doug Taylor

I am a HUGE sports fan. I have 2 young sons and a wonderful wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in New Mexico. I am the 3rd of 4 children. I have been an avid sports enthusiast since I was just a little kid. My 2 favorite teams would be the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Denver Broncos. I played little league baseball and was on all-star teams, one of which went to the LL Western Regionals where we were 2 games away from going to the LL World Series. I later went on to play high school baseball where I earned many honors. I also played football, but as much as I loved playing, it didn't agree with me. After a separated my shoulder, I hung up the shoulder pads and concentrated on playing baseball. After high school, I served an LDS mission to Recife Brazil. I gained a deep love and appreciation for the Brazilian people and an overwhelming devotion to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. After my mission, I obtained a degree in Accounting from Utah Valley University. I am currently an AR Analyst for Qinetiq North America. Directly after gaining my BS in Accounting, I came back to NM and met the love of my eternity. We grow more and more in love each day. I am grateful for her. I love her. We have 2 wonderful little boys together. They make my life complete. I am so proud of them. I thank the Lord for bringing them into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Lord has directed me here. I have read the Book of Mormon. I have prayed to our Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit has testified to me of the truth of what has been taught to me and of the things I continue to learn. I am a Mormon and blessed to be so.

How I live my faith

I am currently part of the congregational missionary effort. As new members join our congregation, I help them to understand more and in-depth gospel topics as well as feel welcomed into their new religioun. It is a wonderful opportunity to see the joy the gospel brings to people who have lived their lives without it. Previously I taught Sunday School for the 8 and 9 year old kids in our congregation. Their purity has and will forever inspire me to be a better person and achieve Christlike attributes.
