Hi I'm Patience Jensen

I grew up in LasVegas, Nevada. I'm preparing to serve a mission in St. Petersburg, Russia! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Patience and, no, I am not always the best at being patient, since I'm sure that is the first question you'd ask me if we were to meet. I would claim the title of "college student", but I don't think going to school part time for one semester really qualifies me for it. Ha ha. So what DO I do then? Well, for the past year I have had the exciting opportunity to work as part of an agency that raises funds to support abuse prevention agencies right here in my hometown. Most days I feel like the agency does more for me than I do for it, because of the people I have the opportunity to rub shoulders with and learn from. Along with my great job as a supervisor with said agency, I am blessed to be the daughter of two miraculous parents, sister to seven phenomenal siblings, and Auntie to 24 adorable nieces and nephews. That's a pretty big accomplishment for someone not even in her twenties, eh??

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are members of the LDS Church (Mormons) and I myself have been a member for as long as I can remember. Although I have been a Mormon for my entire life, I still consider myself a convert to this church. I have gained a testimony of the truthfulness of its teachings and doctrines, which becomes stronger and stronger as I read and study the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. When I pray to our Father in Heaven, I feel Him listening and know that He loves and watches over me. I have confidence that I can turn to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, during times of struggle and be strengthened through His everlasting Atonement. I feel so blessed to be a member of his true church, which he restored to this earth through the prophet, Joseph Smith. I love the joy I feel when live worthy to have the Holy Ghost with me to teach, comfort, and guide me. I know that I am daughter of a Heavenly Father, and I want to do all that I can to earn a place in His presence once again. I am a Mormon, and I love it!

How I live my faith

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints definitely brings purpose in to my life. The kind of purpose that, at the end of a long, hard day, reminds me why I am here on this Earth and how important my role upon it really is, as is the case for ALL of us. I believe that the potential we each have to impact others in a positive way is limitless! It is often through the simple acts of service we perform every day that the Lord provides answers to the pleading and prayers of others. No good deed is a small thing. Knowing this, I strive to give as much of myself as I can to helping out in whatever way is possible, even when I feel my contribution may be insignificant.
