Hi I'm Katherine

I am a daughter, a sister, a student, a friend and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a suburb city in Utah. I have an awesome family! We have a good time together whether it is working or living, loving or laughing, and the occasional fight or two. Haha! I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors be it hiking, biking, running, boating, or camping. I love staying active and playing sports! A few favorites include basketball and Frisbee. I love a good book or two (or five) , and like to sketch and draw. Spending time with family and friends is a favorite way to spend my time. I am a student at Brigham Young University pursing a degree in Exercise Science and Wellness, looking to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. I have recently returned from serving a church mission in Atlanta Georgia, where I fell in love with the south! I love that we all share a common belief and love for the Savior. One day I hope to have my own family!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. Both of my parents belonged to the church and were active members. So I grew up being taught the principles and values that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints believe in. I felt good when I went to church and attended my other activities, so I kept going. It turned from a "have to" to a "want to". I went to church, not because my parents made me, but because I wanted to. I spent time on my own learning more of what the gospel was about and came to believe it for myself. This belief is not so much a belief anymore, it has become a knowledge as true and a sure as the words on this page. I have come to know for myself the truth this gospel. And that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My faith is so very deeply ingrained in who I am and how I live everyday. It is more than just a religion to me, it is a lifestyle. My faith helps me keep a positive perspective on life and reminds me that there is more than the hardships of the day in life. It reminds me that there are others out there who have it much harder than I do. Because of my faith, I am much more focused on what is happening to those around me, and looking for ways I can serve others. I have learned that it doesn't take much to be kind, and being kind can help someone so much. The last few months I have been serving in the women's organization in my church. It has been such an eye opening experience as I have learned the importance of seeking to serve the women in my church and truly looking to help and serve. It truly brings Christ into my life as I seek to search out and serve my fellow sisters. The greatest blessing my faith has given to me is my knowledge and hope of life after death and that families truly are forever. It is hard to lose a loved one, but we can be together forever again. I live my faith every day to ensure this great blessing upon me.
