Hi I'm Sarah Anderson

I have lived in Utah my whole life. I play the flute and Piccolo. I am a Mormon.

About Me

At the age of 19 I was looking for direction in my life and through revelation from God through our Prophet Thomas S. Monson I decided to serve a mission. I am currently serving in the Des Moines, Iowa Mission! For the past year I have been doing something that absolutely terrified me, but through the Lord's strength I was able to do what he needed me to do. I know that the Lord has blessed each person individually because with out this gospel I do not know where I would be. I have a love for learning and teaching and love that I can do both out here in Iowa. I am excited to be able to go back to school at the end of my mission. I will continue to learn and someday my dream is to teach Kindergarten using American Sign Language. I have a strong desire to help everyone and know that as we follow the Lord that we can do so. I have always loved to learn through music as well and have a passion for playing music and expressing myself that way as well. I play the Flute, Piccolo and Oboe and was in marching band for four years where I witnessed many miracles. I have been tried many times in my health, but have been able to come out on top with the help of the Lord. I am the youngest of my family and love to spend time with them. Both of my siblings are married and have a child and I love to see them grow. I love spending time with anyone that needs help or is looking for meaning in life, If I can touch just one life for good then I will be happy. I am a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the values that I hold dear to my heart. I love Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. They are my role models and it seems special to me that I can have a personal relationship with them no matter what I have done in my life. This Church has been such a sanctuary for me, I feel like no matter what ward or building I go into there is someone there that loves me and I belong there no matter what. I have been so blessed to be raised in the church and to be able to enjoy so many blessings through out my life. I have had many struggles with my health and through prayer and priesthood blessings I have been made whole. None of these health problems are a worry anymore and I love the peace that comes from that and knowing where those blessings come from. Heavenly Father wants to bless all of us and he loves everyone the same and knows each of our names and personalities. He is my best friend and I love him

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by the way I act towards others. I have always been very involved in the ward where I live and love to share the gospel with my friends and family through the way that I live. I strive to be like Jesus Christ and follow his example everyday. Currently I am serving a full time mission in Iowa. I love being able to share my beliefs and faith with others to help them come to know the Savior Jesus Christ. I love seeing how the truth that I share helps others build on their lives. This church has given me so much and now I am able to help others receive that as well. As missionaries we go out and teach the gospel. Curious about what we do? Just talk to the ones in your area. As Mormon missionaries we are there to serve you in anyway that you need. I love it when I am able to sit in a garden and weed. Getting to help others helps us to grow and love those around us even more. As a missionary I have seen my faith in Jesus Christ grow in ways that I never thought possible. I love it. I love the fact that I can share what I believe with others in an area that I do not know the best, but love. In the past I have taught classes for children and worked with others my age to help them learn more about Christ and come together through different service activities. The best part of what we do as a church is that no matter what you do it is all important. The service you give is welcomed at any level. I show I love my faith by the way that I live.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Sarah Anderson
As missionaries we share messages about Jesus Christ. Everything that we do in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) is focused on Jesus Christ. As we talk about Christ we share the plans that Heavenly Father (God) has created for us. We help everyone to understand who Jesus Christ is and how to become like him. As we do so we are helping these people live in a way that they can live with God again after death. Show more Show less

What is the Relief Society?

Sarah Anderson
The Relief Society is the organization in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that is specifically for women 18 and older. This is a place where we come together and share with each other what we have learned and what makes us happy. The Relief Society is the largest women's organization in the world. We help out with anything and everything throughout the world and in our immediate area. The women of the church learn and do many activities through this wonderful organization. Show more Show less
