Hi I'm Dillon

I am a cowboy from St. George Utah, I love biscuits and gravy, country music, and front porch sitting. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Dillon Hurt but right now I go by Elder Hurt. That is because I am currently serving a full time mission for the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Later Day Saints in the Charleston West Virginia Mission. Being on a mission is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I am 18 and love sharing our message of happiness with others. I am from St. George Utah and went to Snow Canyon High School. While in school I played Soccer and Basketball, while still maintaining a 4.0 GPA. My Dad was the Vice Principal at my school so it forced me to keep up good grades. For college I did a semester at Utah State University where I studied Biology. I absolutely loved living in Logan and the people there. I am the oldest of 4 kids in my family. I love collecting Jordan retro shoes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth in these later days through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I have personaly read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and have recieved my own personal answer from God that is is true. I have seen the happiness the Gospel has brought me and my family and I want to share that with others. I know that as we abide by the principals our church has we will become closer to our savior Jesus Christ and be so much happier. I find great comfort in knowing that my Heavenly Father loves me and cares about me. He wants the best for me and wants me to by happy. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I have found that happiness and peace that comes from it. I know that as I live my life accordingly to the teachings of the Gospel one day I will be able to return to my Heavenly Father and live in his presence with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others in all that I do. It is very important to me to help others feel loved and welcomed no matter what the circumstances are. I do my very best to show my religion through my example. Right now I am on a mission sharing the truths that I know and cherish with others. I look for opportunities to serve every day and find great happiness in doing so.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Dillon
Joseph Smith was called of God to be a tool for the Lord to use to restore his gospel to the earth. He was a Prophet much like Moses, Noah, Abraham and the other great Prophets from the Bible. He was a faithful diligent servant always seeking to do the Lord's will. He is important to our church because we know the importance of having a Prophet on the earth in these Latter Days. We need a Prophet now more then ever because the end is near. We know that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Because of that he works the same way he has throughout history. It is such a blessing to have Christ Church restored to the earth and for us to receive guidance from a living Prophet of God helping us to decipher good from evil in these perilous days. This is evidence to me of the love that God has for all his children. All he wants for us is to return home. The way that is possible is by following the Prophet, he knows the way. Show more Show less
