Hi I'm Karen

I'm a missionary in Milan Italy. I love being outdoors, flowers, and reading. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southeastern Idaho. I have an older brother, two sisters, and two amazing parents-- all of whom I love dearly. My dad loves to plan vacations, so growing up I traveled all around the United States and we even spent a month in Europe. I love learning about new cultures and trying different types of food. We also spent a lot of time in the Rocky Mountains, so I love to hike, backpack, canoe, and just being in nature. I am currently serving a mission in the Italy, Milan Mission. So I've dedicated 18 months of my life to sharing the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My parents taught me the teachings of the church, but I personally chose to be a Mormon. When I was eight years old, I made the decision to be baptized. I have never regretted that choice. I have read the Book of Mormon and asked God if it was true. He answered with feelings of warmth and peace. I feel those same feelings when I read the Bible. One of the teaching of the Church is the importance of families. We believe that we can spend eternity with our loved ones. My family is extremely important to me, and I cannot imagine living without them. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings joy and peace into my life. Even when my life is difficult, I know that I can turn to Christ. He has always been there for me. I am a Mormon because I have felt inspiration from heaven telling me that this is God's church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith my striving to come unto Jesus Christ and improve myself. This means that I take time daily to pray, read scripture, and reconnect with God. It also means that I look out for others around me. I hope that others can see my love for God through my actions. I recently decided to go on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I soon will be leaving home for eighteen months to serve and teach people in a foreign country. I hope that I will be able to improve the lives of those I meet, and bring them closer to Christ.
