Hi I'm Jared Boyer

I love basketball, I'm an adventurer, I'm serving a mission, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Provo, Utah, raised in Colorado, and grew up in Northern Idaho and am currently serving in the Indiana Indianapolis Mission. Basketball is by far my favorite sport to play, however I also enjoy playing just about any other sport out there. I also really love to snowboard when I find time to get up on the mountain. When I return home from my mission I plan to attend Brigham Young University-Idaho where I will continue my sophomore year of college. I am the second of five in my family with an older brother and three younger sisters.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is how I was raised, but I continue to be a Mormon because I love the joy that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life. It has helped me to find direction and meaning in this life. Having the knowledge that this life is only a small moment of our existence is something that I treasure and something that I wish others to have as well.

How I live my faith

I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it. In high school I was almost embarrassed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. People would ask me questions all of the time about it and I would do my very best to answer them but for the most part I just wished that nobody would ask me about my beliefs. Now I am serving a full-time mission in Indianapolis, Indiana and there is no room or time to be reserved about my beliefs. I have come to find that the greatest joy in life comes from your family and the relationships you build, and that the second greatest joy in life comes from spreading the gospel and helping others to come unto Christ. I do my best to live what I believe and show everyone that I am proud to be a Mormon.
