Hi I'm Christi

I grew up in Texas. I love my country. I love people and will major in Social Work. I love making friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love to socialize! I love dancing, drawing, singing, being outside, almost any sport (especially football and Ultimate Frisbee), and just being with people. I have attended a university for a year and half and will be studying in Sociology and continue with a Masters in Social Work. I know how to play the violin. I like to try new things, and I love traditions. I love spending time with my family and friends and do my best to keep good relationships with everyone I know. I make sure that the Lord is first in my life and then people. I have found that when I put the Lord first, He helps me out with everything. I've also learned that people can be the angels we need in life, including myself, and we all just have to put in our effort to befriend, be understanding, and be kind to everyone. I love my family and each person I meet. Everyone has potential and I am determined to make sure that they know it and achieve it. I am friendly and really love to meet people and serve them, but in the end I always feel like they are serving me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know it is the Lord's church and has the fulness of the truth. The teachings are true and provide a way of happiness and joy. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, and that He sacrificed Himself for all of us, individually, because He LOVES and KNOWS each and every person. He has provided the way that we can return back to our Heavenly Father. I know that God speaks to us in the day and age, through a prophet, Thomas S. Monson, like He did with the prophets of the Bible. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ, and restored the fulness of Christ's church on the Earth and the authority to make covenants with God (promises) and do ordinances (sacred rituals like baptism and marriage). I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon with the Lord's help. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it provides answers to life's questions. It is the Lord's words. I know that all things are possible through our Heavenly Father and that we have to have faith (belief that compels us to action) in Jesus Christ for miracles to happen in our lives. I know that families can be together forever. I know that God answers our prayers, in His own time. I know that we all have a Heavenly Father who loves and knows us, deeply and individually. I know that His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, loves each of us and despite the imperfections we have, if we are willing to have turn our hearts to Him, He will welcome us with open arms and embrace us. I know that we are God's literal children. We are family. I know I am a daughter of God and that He knows that I am special and important. We all have something to contribute in this world, and we are each special and unique and that we have to help each other out. I love this Church. It helps me live a better life and brings me, my family, and friends so much joy. I know it, I live it, I love it.

How I live my faith

I teach a Sunday School class at church, and try to share the Gospel with anyone I meet. I feel that by living the example of the Savior and really loving people is one of the best ways to live my faith. This brings me the greatest joy and hopefully I am able to do the same for those around me. I will stand up for what I believe in and am willing to share my beliefs with anyone I come across. I do my best to really learn and get to know the Savior by studying the scriptures and talking with our Heavenly Father through prayer. I know that He answers our prayers, we just have to put our beliefs into action and listen to His response. I try my best to be happy and look for the simple joys in life. I try to look past the faults in people and only see the good that they are. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to be the best that they can be. I also believe that people are able to change and do great things.
