Hi I'm Tami

I am a wife, mother, CPA and marathon runner. I love to travel. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I studied at BYU and BYU-Hawaii and earned my accounting degree. While I began my career as a full time professional, I earned my CPA licence and my masters in taxation. I married a wonderful man I met in the accounting program and we have four children. For several years I balanced being a wife, mother and employee, but became a full time stay at home mom recently. When I am not busy with my family, I enjoy running marathons. Nothing makes me feel God's love for me more than feeling the sun shine on my face, feeling the wind in my hair and enjoying this beautiful earth He gave us to enjoy! I set a goal to run a marathon in every state and I'm about half done. I also volunteer in the community, at my kids school and in the church. I love to serve others and share my talents. I know that is what Christ wants me to do with the talents I have been blessed with. I feel God's love for me when I am serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I first recall my testimony of the church beginning when I was a very young child. My sister passed away and I remember feeling peace and comfort in my knowledge that I would see her again. In our church, we believe that our families can be together after death. As I got older and more able to understand the teachings of our church, I noticed that the teachings of the church lead me to happiness, joy, peace and comfort. As I have the faith to follow the teachings of the church, follow our modern prophet and live my life according to the standards of the church, I feel happiness in my heart. I believe that is the holy spirit confirming that what I am doing is right. I have seen so many blessings in my life because of my membership in this church. More than anything, the spirit has confirmed to me that this is the restored church. Our prophet speaks with God, just like prophets of old. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy. We can find that happiness when we listen to the prophets and heed his council.

How I live my faith

I have four children 7 years old and younger. I spent most of my time teaching them, reading to them, playing with them, and loving them. Occassionally I get to have other young children over to my home for play dates and parties. I try to live my faith by fulfilling the second commandment to Love One Another. As I serve my family and those around me, I feel that I am doing what Christ would want me to do. In my church, I serve as a councelor to the president of the womens organization. We visit other women in need, take meals to families in need, serve those around us, plan events, prepare lessons, and do just about anything we see a need for. We try to be uplifting not only to those we attend church with, but also to those in our communities. We are all God's children and he loves each and every one of us!
