Hi I'm Ryan

Im a Snowboarder. I sing and play guitar. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a musically inclined family, and early in schooling I took up the Violin. I hated it. I joined choir my Sophomore and discovered my love for singing. I sang in Chamber and a Concert choir and joined a acapella group Change up, started by Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix. I picked up guitar when I was about fifteen and never put it down since. I've been blessed to be able to utilize both musical talents many times over the years. Up until about ten years old I lived in a surf community in southern California, where my father lived all his life surfing, but I never picked up the sport myself as well as I liked. Moving away from the ocean dashed those dreams of riding the perfect swell, so I chose the mountain instead. Snowboarding is more than speeding through the snow on a board strapped to your feet. Its the feeling you get feeling the cold air biting your cheeks and feeling the mountain and trees movie and change beneath your feet. I cant count how many times I've been at the top of the lift looking down at the miles and miles of mountain below me, and experienced purely spiritual moment, seeing the beauty and power gods created. I have many wonderful people in my life that have shaped me into the person I am today, whether that's a good or bad thing. Who have also given me such a happy and awesome future, no matter what I'm faced with.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know it's the true church, the only true church on the earth. Because through the church I know I can be sealed to my family, I know what happens after I die, and I know how to live my life to the fullest. I am a mormon because I know Its the only way back to live with my Heavenly father, and It's the only way to find eternal joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me. Everyone watches us as mormons, even when we dont think so, so its our job to stand up for our beliefs and do what is right. I am a missionary for the Church, going to Paris France. This gives me an opporunity to serve my fellow men and bring Christ into their lives.

In whom should we have faith?

Ryan
In our lord, Jesus Christ and in our Heavenly Father most importantly. But we should also learn to be able to have faith in our friends and family, that they will always be there for you, to lift you spiritually and physically in times of need. Having faith in God and Jesus Christ is knowing that you always have heavenly support and love, and knowing that through faith and works we can return to live in Gods presence. Show more Show less
