Hi I'm Elizabeth

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City. I'm going to school to become a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with four brothers and never let them stop me from being super-girly and over sensitive. I danced for years and years and loved participating in musical theater in school. When I graduated high school I spent the summer working as a camp counselor at a very large Boy Scouts of America backpacking camp in New Mexico. I learned to love the outdoors. I love to hike, to camp, and to learn all I can about nature and the earth. I am a sophomore in college, majoring in elementary education. I can't wait to teach young children and help them gain an appreciation for something important to them as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As I grew older, I had to decide for myself what path to take in the Church, and I chose to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have so much to be grateful for, I have been given a lot in this life. I know that my Heavenly Father has blessed me immensely and I can't imagine my life without those blessings. Being a Mormon can be hard sometimes and I'm not perfect. I have been teased because of my faith- but how can I compare that to Christ, who was ridiculed and hung on the cross because of His? Or Joseph Smith, who was persecuted, tarred and feathered, and forced to flee his home on many occasions? The challenges of being a Mormon, of following the rules and remembering Christ can be difficult. But I owe everything in my life to Him and I am so grateful for what He has given me. I know that this church is the true church, and His gospel is the only way to eternal life.

How I live my faith

I work at a daycare and I serve in the nursery in my ward. I love children so much, I know that they are the God's gift. They can say the funniest things sometimes! They are pure and honest and I love that. I wish I could be as honest and innocent as they are.
