Hi I'm Hayden

I've lived in Arizona my whole life. I come from a very musical family. I love reading and playing sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and I just finished my first semester of college. I am currently preparing to serve a full time mission for the Church in Resistencia, Argentina. I'm not really athletic but I love to play sports; soccer, football, ultimate frisbee, you name it. I also love to read a ton. I come from a really musical family and we love to sing together. My four older brothers and I do a lot of quartet stuff and last year we were able to record a cd of all of our songs. I especially enjoy listening to a capella groups like Straight No Chaser and BYU Vocal Point.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church. Ever since I was a little kid I have been taught about the Book of Mormon and about Jesus Christ and about the Church. I was never a rebellious kid and I never really doubted what my parents and leaders were teaching me, but there came a point in my life where I decided that I wanted to find out for my self if the Church was true. One night, I got on my knees and prayed to God to know if the things that I was being told were true. I wanted to be sure that this really was His restored Church on the Earth. I will never forget the overwhelming feelings of peace and love that filled my heart as I prayed that night. My whole body was filled with warmth and it felt as if the Savior was standing next to me, personally assuring me that the things I was being told were true. I have still faced many challenges in my life and my faith has been tried numerous times; but I can't forget what I felt that night. I know that this is Christ's church on Earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testiment of Christ and it was translated by the power of God through Joseph Smith. I know that this Church is true and I am so grateful to be a part of it. I don't know where I'd be without the Church in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the standards of the Church and by being an example for others to see. I love finding opportunities to share the gospel with others. People at school would ask me all the time about my faith and why I live the way I do and I am so grateful for the opportunities I had to be able to explain about my beliefs and to bear my testimony to them.
