Hi I'm Colton Dansie

I'm a competition archer, I enjoy hunting, trap, sporting clay, and exhibition shooting, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I enjoy shooting competition archery as well as hunting and shooting. I am currently serving a mission in Spokane Washington from 2012 to 2014 and plan on going to college when I get home for mechanical engineering. I also played baseball for 14 years and graduated high school with an Associate's Degree. I am part of a big family who I love dearly and think that families are very important in our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

Their came a point in my life when I had to figure things out for myself. After a good amount of time full of guilt and a negative outlooks on other things I decided it was time to really find out the truth for myself, and so I asked Heavenly Father what he wanted me to do. I ended up turning to a scripture that was about nothing but missionary work and when that happened and I read it and the feelings of the Holy Ghost I was feeling I knew it was true and I knew that Heavenly Father wouldn't send me on a mission for a church that wasn't true. That was my main converting moment in my life and now I don't think, but I know with every fiber of my being that this is Christ's church on the earth today, that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that His church has a prophet and apostles today that receive revelation to help lead and guide all of us, Heavenly Father's children, and that the Book of Mormon is true and is continued scripture for us today also to help lead and guide us.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Spokane Washington and I am doing this because I have come to know this church is Christ's true church on the earth today through prayer and wish to share it with other people. Through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ I have seen many blessing in my life and I know that it is for us, God's children, to bless us and guide us back to him. And that through obedience to his commandments we can be protected from harmful things in spiritual, physical, and mental ways and that the commandments are like guidelines that we should follow in order to obtain the things He has promised us.

Are Mormons Christians?

Colton Dansie
You bet Mormons are Christians. In fact Mormon is actually a nickname for us, our church's actual name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We recognize Jesus Christ as our Savior and our Redemer and through his atoning sacrifice we can have eternal life. Jesus Christ is central in our religious faith and he is the one who heads, leads, and directs His church through a called prophet today. We pray to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ as well as worship in the name of Jesus Christ. We constantly strive to become like him in living his Gospel and following his example. And just as the Bible is a Testament of Jesus Christ, The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
