Hi I'm Sophie

I love laughing loud and spending time with my family. I want to be an elementary school teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Texas, and spent my time playing outside and reading fairy tales. I am the third oldest of eight children, and I love laughing and learning with my family. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University Provo, studying elementary education. I love reading, dancing, baking, traveling, and spending time with people that I love. I want to become a teacher so that I can spend every day sharing and showing what I know with children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church because it allows me to continually come to know Jesus Christ. The relationship I have with my Savior is the most important of my life, and I love being able to learn more about His ministry, gospel, and love through the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and personal prayer. I choose to follow His gospel each day because through it, I have felt the comfort, peace, inspiration, and guidance that have helped me to overcome each challenge in my life. I know that obedience to God's commandments protect me, and will help me reach my academic, professional, personal, and spiritual goals. I know that my commitment to following Christ will determine my ability to learn, grow, improve, and succeed.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily commitment. In each decision I make, I try to remember that my life is a reflection of my love of God. I try to choose to be positive, take opportunities to serve, and share my testimony at each available chance. I strive to get to know the people with whom I spend my time, whether in class, church, or work. Living my faith also means I always try to be grateful for all I have been given. Saying thank you and smiling to those who serve me helps me remember the blessings I have. I currently plan a weekly meeting in church, and try to organize opportunities for interaction and inspiration in these meetings.
