Hi I'm Hailey

I grew up in Paradise Utah. I attended Dixie College for 3 semesters and am preparing for a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love Harry Potter. Books, movies, jokes, you name it. I'm finishing this semester then I'm leaving to serve a mission. I was my high school cross country team for a few years, but a few injuries to my knees prevented continuous running. I love watching movies... Let me repeat: I LOVE WATCHING MOVIES. LOVE. That's one thing I'll miss while I'm on my mission... but it's okay because serving the Lord is more important. But anyway, back to the nitty gritty... (did you catch that Nacho Libre reference right there? Yeah...) I love to do things outside; I'd much rather be outside than inside on any given day. Unless I'm in Logan from September to June, then I'd prefer being inside because it's so cold outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was born into a Mormon family. Obviously I didn't have to stay Mormon for all these years, but I chose to because I know that it's God's church. I know that God loves us. If He didn't, why would we have all the blessings we do? The earth didn't have to be created to be pretty. He could have just slapped a bunch of particles together and said, "Here, deal with this. When you die we'll see how well you did. Good luck." But He didn't. And it's because He loves us and wants us to be happy. Even if you're in a rough spot, there is always a silver lining somewhere; and if you search hard enough He'll help you to see that.

How I live my faith

I have had a few callings in the ward, and have done my best to, well, do my best. Right now I'm in charge of the women's activities we do each month. It's pretty fun! Ummm... When I was younger I was in charge of my age group of young women a few times and loved doing things with them. We did a lot of service, and raking leaves ended up being one of my favorite activities. Honestly, when we first started raking them up I thought it was lame and had a pessimistic attitude, but then I was thinking to myself, "Self, why are you hating? These people are so grateful you are here to help them out. Stop being dumb." So then I put my bad attitude away and raked those leaves. And now? I love raking leaves. A lot. If you ever need some leaves raked... let me know.
