Hi I'm Becky

I grew up in the sunny streets of Northern California. I'm always down for a good Nicaraguan dish. And

About Me

I just completed my AA this past October, which I'm so happy about since it took me a little longer than expected. I do plan to go back to school to finish my Bachelors soon enough. I want to study something that will allow me to work with children. Not quite sure what exact route I want to take yet. But before I keep my studies going, I'll be going out on a mission! Can't wait!

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know this church is true and that we are guided and directed by a modern day prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and that he is called of God. I absolutely love having the knowledge that my Heavenly Father loves my so much, that He sent his son to die for me. I know that my Savior knows me personally and that He is always there for me no matter what. The most beautiful part to me is, even though I fail Him daily, He has never failed me once. He is my light and my rock. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet as well and I'm beyond grateful for his obedience and sacrifice. This restored gospel has brought me so much joy and happiness that I can't even begin to express. I can't, and don't want to, imagine my life without it!

How I live my faith

One of the callings that I most often seem to get is ward pianist. After being called to this position several times in different locations, I wasn't too thrilled. But as I practiced playing the hymns more and really reading and trying to understand the words, I was able to grow a much greater love for the hymns. These hymns bring such a great spirit to the room that I think sometimes only music can. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've been able to share my talents and help others feel of this sweet spirit.
