Hi I'm Nicole

I am a Dental student. My passion in life is helping young girls realize their individual worth... and I am a Mormon!

About Me

Although I moved around a bit when I was a little girl, I claim Kentucky as my home. I grew up feeding baby calves and helping can vegetables from our garden with my wonderful family. I am currently a very busy Dental student, but in my free time I love watching and playing sports, cooking, fishing, history, yoga, making things pretty, learning to play guitar, and knitting! When I was in college, I started a program for young girls aimed at improving their self confidence, helping them to face their fears, instilling within them the importance of high moral standards, emphasizing the importance of education, and teaching them that the dreams they have for their futures can be made a reality if they are willing to work hard and choose to never give up. This small idea spiraled into a four year consecutive event changing the lives of many amazing young ladies as well as my own. We were able to sponsor and donate to several charitable organizations that are dedicated to improving the health and lives of children with funds raised through this program. I have come to realize that we have each been blessed with individual capacities and talents that can be used to serve and lift others. There is no limit to the difference we can make in this world as we strive to live up to our fullest potential. It is amazing to feel, for a time, that you have found your niche... the place where your passions can be used for good, and that you are making a difference.

Why I am a Mormon

My simple testimony is that the Savior lives and knows each of us individually. The gospel He established during his ministry on Earth was restored completely to its original structure through a young boy who, in faith, went to a grove of trees to ask a simple question that would change the course of his life on Earth. I know that just as he received an answer to his prayer, Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers and knows the desires of our hearts. He is waiting for us to come unto Him so that He can help and comfort us and guide us to where He needs us to be. I am thankful to know that families are forever and that growth and learning shall never cease. I am thankful to know that Heavenly Father cares about EACH of us individually. I am thankful that we never have to be alone in our struggles if we choose to let Christ into our lives.

How I live my faith

I love Church service as well! Over the years, I have served in the capacity of a children's song leader, Sunday school teacher for small children, an adviser for young women, and as an event planner for social gatherings. I love being able to switch my profession in a sense on Sundays and develop different skills depending on the capacity I am called to serve in at the time. I am currently helping with church education and also involved with visiting those who may be having a hard time in their lives. When I do home visits, I usually go with another person. We share with them a message of hope, listen to the new things happening in their lives, or try to tend to their temporal needs. Its great to develop deep, meaningful relationships through service.
