Hi I'm Lana

I am a life story coach; helping people write and publish their life stories. Spiritual legacies are my favorite. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love hearing about people's journey through life. The places my journey led me are to Nauvoo, Illinios, Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, and California. I compiled and published my grandparents and great-grandparents life stories and many other very interesting people. I felt impressed to move back home to complete my mom and dad's life story after I completed it my dad had a stroke and passed away. It was such a blessing to have his stories recorded in his own voice. Now my family can enjoy reading his words or listening to his voice tell his stories and give advice. I have five grown children and eleven grandchildren. Traveling to visit my family is one of my favorite things. Family brings me the greatest joy. Wanting to be close to your family makes sense to write all the stories surrounding each family member so you will never forget all the wonderful expereinces.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of Jesus Christ, and this is His church restored back on the earth again just like in Jesus' life time. The church is organized to perform sacred ordinances of baptism by the authority given by God. Heavenly Father had to restore that authority after all the apostles were killed and it was lost. The Book of Mormon is a true book. Every time I read it it feels like the spirit of God is in my heart. I have had so many questions about everyday life and when I read The Book of Mormon I get answers and inspiration of what to do. I love Jesus Christ and I want to follow his path and belong to His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying every day and reading the Book of Mormon. Praying makes me feel close to my Father in Heaven like I am part of his family. I know he loves me and has protected and guided me through a lot of hard times. I never feel alone and I know he is always there helping me. I taught teenages for many years. They have high energy and are so excited about life and all the new adventures. I loved being a teenager so that is why I see all the fun and joy they are having. It can be a spiritual turning point because of all the peer pressure and trying to find your identity. The gospel anchors your soul to the truth so when the storms of life hit you stay strong and steady. I have four boys and was a cubscout leader for many years and that is totally fun running day camps and making crafts and earning badges. Working as a leader of the women taught my family service and compassion to my children. There are so many ways to serve and show the Savior that you love Him and His children in the Church of Jesus Christ. It is a wonderful way to raise a family. Family prayer, daily scripture study, and Family Home Evening helped our family stay strong in their faith of Jesus Christ. My faith has grown by obeying the commandments and repenting and starting over fresh each day. I know I have a lot of joy because of my faith in my Savior.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Lana
I have always prayed as a little girl to God. He answered my prayers. When I read the New Testiment I prayed if Jesus was real and I had the most beautiful feeling I have ever felt in my life. It had to be from God about his son. He wanted me to believe in His son so I know there is a God and He is my Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
