Hi I'm Hayden

I'm a builder, sport and music fanatic, Recent Convert and current Full-Time Missionary. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley and I absolutely love it! I will play any sport out there, even if I'm not very good at it, I just love having fun! I love snowboarding, especially(though there's still room for tons of improvement there). If I can't listen to music, I can't be me. I find it to be one of the greatest sources of human expression there is! I graduated High School with an honors in Engineering and was able to participate in Skills USA as the Head Carpenter for a Construction Management team. I plan to study Massage Therapy and Sports Physical Therapy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a recent convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was baptized on October 8th, 2011. I spent my life up until then with no gospel in my life. I grew up knowing of God and of Jesus Christ and I learned to respect them, but in no way did I ever show any devotion. In fact, growing up in Salt lake City, Utah made me greatly dislike the LDS church for a very long time. I took no time to learn their ways or their beliefs and therefore, I was influenced by the negative words of others. When my mother was baptized into the church I was very disappointed. I promised myself that I would never let that happen to me... I am grateful to say, that I broke that promise! Despite my best efforts, the powerful spirit of the lord found me in the words of an excited missionary-to-be. His spirit was so strong and his love for the gospel was so inspiring. I didn't let myself hesitate after that and to my surprise, the missionaries called me the next day and asked if they could come over, I said, "YEP!" They came over and they taught me about the Restoration of the Gospel and asked me if I would be baptized and I said yes. Within three weeks, I was baptized and had found the answers to a lot of questions that I NEVER in a million years thought I would find. The adjustment from my previous life to this one wasn't easy, but it was totally worth it.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving a mission in New York, New York South! This mission covers all of Long Island, Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens. It is literally the best mission there is! I love the Spanish people and I love their food just as much!! I will be Forever Changed and I will forever be a missionary!
