Hi I'm Mckenzi Huskinson

Im currently serving as a missionary in the Texas Mcallen Mission, and I spend everyday talking to the remnants of the Lamanites.

About Me

I am the second oldest of 7 kids and my family means the world to me. I adore being an older sister. I love to spend time at the lake near my house. I love going on walks with people that I care about, and I appreciate thunderstorms. When I grow up, I want to be a Mom and an elementary school teacher. I live everyday for the memories made with the people around me. I love meeting new people and going on drives with good friends, music, and sunflower seeds. I love being who I've become through the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is what Heavenly Father has in store for me. I know that I have a specific plan for my life through Him and I know that if I put my trust in Him, I will be okay. I want more than anything to be that person who He created me to be, and I know the only way that will happen is if I stay faithful to the commandments and guidance that He has given me. I know that they are for my protection and well-being, and I'm thankful for them. I'm a Mormon because I know that there are certian blessings waiting for me and the only way that I can have my family be together forever is through getting sealed in the Temple and making those promises and ordinances with God. I know that the family unit is an amazing gift that Heavenly Father has given me, and I want to make sure that I take care to preserve that gift and make sure it lasts forever.

How I live my faith

Aside from being on a mission, I share the gospel everyday. I strive to be an example to those around me by the way I act, dress, and speak. I want others to feel of the Savior's love for them through me, and I want them to understand what makes me happy. I think the best thing to do is just to open your mouth and let others know of this special knowledge and testimony you have.. but not in a preachy way. I have many friends who share my beliefs. We know who we are and who we can become and we strengthen and remind each other of the potential we have everyday.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Mckenzi Huskinson
Mormons put a huge emphasis on families. We believe that they are the very best thing for us and for our well being. We believe that we were put into the families we were for a reason and that these families can be the biggest strength to us as we learn and grow. I am so thankful that I have a family that loves and supports me in everything I do. Through faithfulness to the teachings of the LDS church, I can live happily with my family here, and live with them after this life when we all pass on. I love this Gospel and I love my family.
