Hi I'm Austin

I was born and raised in Idaho. I love movies. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love making movies/videos at home and may possibly decide to go into film in the future. I love the sciences, especially physics. I graduated from high school last year. In high school I participated in Track and Field and Cross-Country for four years. Over the course of those four years in Cross-Country I improved from second to last (of about 30) on the team to seventh (also of about 30). I plan to attend college immediately after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. As a child I just followed the motions and did what was expected. As I became older I began to wonder if I really had a testimony of the church. I found my testimony through finding opportunities to bear it or just think about my beliefs. I realized that I have always had a strong testimony without really realizing it. I know that God speaks to man in these days. I know that there are prophets called in modern days. Thomas S. Monson is the prophet. He speaks with God and know his will. I know that the Book of Mormon is the truest book on the earth and that through sincere study of it you can gain insights on how to live your life that you can't get anywhere else. I know Christ was resurrected and has a body of flesh and bones. I know that he atoned for our sins so that we can repent and return to live with him and God. God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three separate and distinct beings. Joseph Smith did see them in the sacred grove and restored the true gospel to the earth.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full time mission. Presently I am in the Missionary Training Center preparing to go to the Italy Milan Mission. I leave for Italy on April 30, 2013 to serve in the Italian language. In the past I have been called to serve as secretary in the presidency for a group of young men ages 16-18 in our ward.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

The missionaries themselves and their families pay for their missions. Most, if not all, missionaries spend the time the have before they leave earning money to pay for the mission as well as spend time with their families. Show more Show less
