Hi I'm Shana Butler

I'm a stay at home Mom. I have a loving husband and four beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four children-three girls and one boy and I have the best husband in the whole world. I recently received my Bachelor's degree in Accounting and I'm excited to use my degree to help others with their finances--especially around tax time! I love to sew, crochet, read, and play with my children. I also love music! I'm always listening to some kind of music while I do the laundry, clean my house, exercise, or whatever. I am the seventh out of 12 children so I come from a large, wonderful family! We are all still very close even though we are far apart in proximity. I love the sights, sounds and smells of spring, but I also love the colors of autumn and I can never have too much fun playing in the snow and enjoying a good hot chocolate afterwards.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was eight years old and I can still remember the feelings I had that day. I felt clean--not physically clean, but spiritually clean. I felt pure. I felt an extreme desire to do good and never to sin. I know this church is true because it always makes me want to do better. To be a better person. This church is like a big family--which is perfect, since families are the center of God's plan. My little family moved across the country a few years ago and that was very intimidating for us. But we never felt alone. From the moment we moved in, we had met almost every person in our ward and since the moving company didn't arrive with our stuff for a week, we had many offers of help. Many people asked me how I had so many friends so quickly after moving in and all I had to say is, "Well, I'm a Mormon!" I have a testimony that this church is true! I cannot deny it. I've been living the Gospel my whole life and even though there are ups and downs, I couldn't be happier. I know that my family will be together forever, as long as we each stay true and faithful throughout our lives. Every day I am amazed and grateful for the wonderful blessings that God has given me.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the music leader for the children in my ward as well as a visiting teacher to 10 ladies in my ward. I try to show all the children and ladies that I love them through my service to them. I am teaching my own children the importance of service and of religion in their lives. Every day I try to be a good example to my children, my neighbors, and my friends. I hope that they can see the light of Christ in my life and desire that light in their own lives.
