Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Maryland. I sing a capella and run Cross Country. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In high school I was a Cross Country and Track Captain for our teams. And, I had the opportunity to sing bass and beatbox for our school's a capella group. But now, having endured ALL 4 years of high school, I am living/loving life in my first semester in college!! Being away from home has been both a blessing and a hardship as I miss my family very much, but with all the new experiences growing up offers, I wouldn't trade this for anything!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Because being a Mormon has changed my life. I know that without the church in my life today, I would be a totally different person. Growing up has its challenges, its temptations, and its heartbreaks. As a teenager in this confusing world its hard to know what to do and where to go. I have been blessed to have this church in my life, because it has gotten me through the hardships of growing up in a modern world. I am a Mormon because being a Mormon has influenced my choices growing up for the better. I am a Mormon, because through all the hardships, being a Mormon and finding my faith in Christ has made me happy.

How I live my faith

Through my church, I have had countless service opportunities. From park restorations in my area to offering food and clothing for the less fortunate. Most recently, my Dad was put in charge of organizing groups to car-pool up to New York to help in the relief efforts from hurricane Sandy. Through an organization known as the "Mormon Helping Hands" members of my congregation and others in the area were able to help hundreds of families in the recovery process after such a traumatic event. The need for service to others is greatly needed in society today, and my faith helps me serve those around me.
