Hi I'm Jerod

I'm originally from Idaho, and currently attend Podiatry school in Cleveland, Ohio. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father of 2 great kids. I am currently a Podiatry (foot doctor) student. I like to outdoor things ie. hunting, camping, fishing. I served a 2 year mission in Guanajuato, Mexico. Now, I am on a never ending search for good Mexican food, kinda ruined Tacobell for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many simple reasons. I cannot say that I've seen angels, heard voices, or had visions telling me the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. I've spent a lot of time reading scriptures and praying. I've asked God numerous times if the Church is true, and every time I get a peaceful feeling. Those peaceful feelings are the base of why I believe the church is true. On top of that come the teachings that correlate with scriptures. Guidance from Prophets and Apostles that help me become better. There are many reasons to become a Mormon, but for me it all started from simple peaceful feelings. From those, I have grown into the person I am today. I believe that God does exist. I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God, and that he suffered for my sins, died and was resurrected. I believe Joseph Smith was a Prophet chosen by God to re-establish his church here on earth once again. I believe the Book of Mormon contains the words of Prophets that were inspired of God. I believe we have Prophets here on earth today, that are inspired and guided by God to teach and guide us. I believe all of this because of a few simple feelings I know I felt, and can never deny.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best husband and father I can be. I also teach a 12-18 year old youth Sunday school class every Sunday, in a Spanish congregation.
