Hi I'm Marla

I've endured my share of hardships. Divorce, death of a child and cancer twice. My strength is my faith. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single mom with three living children. I've supported my family working full time as a nurse at a local hospital for over 20 years. I have been battling cancer the last few years. I have been resilient through it all because of my faith in my Savior and his church. My hope, peace, and joy is the knowledge of the great plan of salvation that is for everyone because of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born of wonderful parents who loved me and taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of their example I received my own testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My testimony has been strengthened through the many hardships I have endured. I know my Savior lives and loves all mankind. Jesus Christ is the head of our church. Without the plan of salvation and His atoning sacrifice all would be lost. I would have no hope in life after death and being able to be with my family, Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ forever. True happiness comes through living your life with truth, meaning, and purpose. It is my testimony that you will find all of this and more as you discover for yourself The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Mormons.

How I live my faith

I am involved in scouting with the young men in our church. I help to organize the activities they do. I also visit with a few women in our church monthly. I help them with anything that they may need. I have built a lasting friendship with them. I also serve at the Missionary Training Center, which is a place the missionaries from our church go to prepare and learn languages for teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ through out the world and being of service.
