Hi I'm Margaret Vick

I am from a small town in Alabama. I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, an aunt, and a friend. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married, 14 years. I have 3 children. I teach at our local school where my children attend. I am a Primary teacher. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in April 1995, one month before my high school graduation. I immediately began a transformation in my actions, as well as my words and even my thoughts. This change came about because of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit spoke to my heart in a clear way that let me know I was making choices the Lord would have me make. It is been reaffirmed over and over through the peace and comfort I feel each day. I love reading the scriptures and learning from them. I have had many prayers answered as I have read the scriptures and saw how they apply to me! I was blessed with a great spouse who is a lifelong member of the Church. He and I were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple following his service as a full time missionary. I am continually grateful to my Savior for the chance to repent of my shortcomings and weaknesses! I love being a member of the Church and hope to be a good example to my family and friends!

How I live my faith

I am involved with the children in our local branch and have been for many years. I help in the planning and organizing of our Sunday lessons and also the extra activities we do on Wednesdays. I have worked with the small ones 18 months up to 12 years of age.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Margaret Vick
The family is so important because it brings the greatest blessings. Our happiness on earth stems from our spiritual beliefs and the time we spend with our families. Those two things are the MOST important and naturally should be linked together. The Church encourages families to spend time together not only doing fun things, but also learning and growing in the gospel. Being a wife has been one of the sweetest experiences of my life! My husband and I know the gospel is what binds us, guides us, and what gives us peace! Being a parent is such a special opportunity, as well! The love within our family is a safe harbor and haven from all the distractions of the world! Show more Show less
