Hi I'm Dallin Larimer

I grew up in Portland, Oregon. I married an awesome Vietnamese lady that I met at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I attend Brigham Young University and I graduate with my wife in April. I love spending time with family and friends; we play games, go out to eat, chat, watch movies, and just have a good time. I teach french to the new missionaries who are preparing to serve french-speaking people at the Missionary Training Center, and it is the best job ever. They learn really fast (much faster than I did) and are a joy to be with. I served a mission in Montreal, Canada for two years, and I met a ton of awesome people there. I hope to go back and visit soon. Since my wife is from Vietnam, we visited her country over the summer, and Vietnamese people are awesome!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know, independent of anyone else, that God is our Heavenly Father, and that this is His Church on the Earth today. I have received this knowledge through the impressions of the Holy Ghost, and it had been reaffirmed to me numerous times throughout my life. The Bible teaches that we can recognize true prophets by their fruits, and the Book of Mormon is proof that Joseph Smith was in fact called of God. During my two year mission in Montreal, Canada, we constantly were challenging people to ask God if the Book of Mormon is true, and each time they were sincere in their request, God would give answer their prayer through the Holy Ghost. This is the same way that I know the book is true. I have personally felt the power that comes from Christ's sacrifice for our sins. The Lord continues to bless me and my family every day.

How I live my faith

Well, I'm not perfect, but that's OK! As you study about God and Jesus Christ, you naturally try to become better. You try to acquire the attributes that they have. I try to live my life the way the Lord would if he were in my shoes. That means helping others, having a positive attitude, and avoiding things that would distance me from Him. I definitely fall short at times, but the Lord is very merciful towards me, and I know that the little that I contribute to His kingdom is well worth it, and it pays big dividends as well! I receive great joy when I try to help others come closer to God. Another way I live my faith is through my family-life; I'm trying to be a great husband, and one day, a good father.
