Hi I'm Ryan B. Cooper

I grew up in Cedar City, Utah. I served a mission in Norway. I love Batman and being a nerd with my friends. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family means the world to me and I am so grateful for the unity and love which the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to our lives. I'm a freshman in college. My major is History. I love the radio and listening to classic rock 'n' roll like the Beatles, the Eagles, and Tom Petty. I also love a good Coke at my local McDonald's. I really enjoy stories in any way, shape or form; like movies, books, comics (especially Batman!), and video games. I enjoy writing creatively on many different subjects. Learning is a passion of mine, from the study of American History, to Radio Communication. I love to study the scriptures as well, from the Old Testament to the Book of Mormon. Some of my favorite passages are Isaiah 53, Matthew 16:25-26, Moroni 10:32-33, and Ether 12:4, 6, and 27, to name a few. I would love to teach one day, because I love sharing in the things of which I am passionate about.

Why I am a Mormon

I received a strong, personal witness of the truthfulness of the gospel when I was 14 years old. Though I originally doubted my faith, I know now, more than ever, that this gospel, the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, is true. I am Mormon because I know that God, our Eternal Father, has confirmed His truth to me through the power of the Holy Ghost. I find great comfort in the fact that God is willing to communicate personally with me, and that He is willing to help me progress so that I can become like Him one day. I love that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints encourages me to become more than I am already, and to see the divine potential that I have.

How I live my faith

I try my best to do what my Heavenly Father has asked of me. The theme of this has been found in Matthew 16:25-26. I try to lose myself in service to my God and live up to my father's great example to me. I have found that life is to be enjoyed, and that so much good exists around us, all given to us from our Heavenly Father's hand; we just have to look around us and recognize it. I also believe that we can be intruments in our Father in Heaven's hands to spread His love and make our brothers and sisters happy in this life. As well, I believe strongly in the power of personal revelation. Our Father in Heaven is truly there to help us and guide us in all things if we pray sincerely to Him and then work our hardest afterwards. I have served a full-time mission in the country of Norway, where I preached the restored gospel of Jesus Christ to the Norwegian people.
