Hi I'm Chris Udall

I'm 18, have an amazing family, am a Phoenix Coyotes fan, I am about to serve a full-time mission and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 18 years old and just finished a semester of college. I am a loving friendly guy who just likes to laugh and have fun. No serious stuff in this 'house', unless its hockey time but even then I still like to have fun. I grew up in the LDS church with a loving family, who I will talk about later. When I was young I always loved sports. I played soccer, baseball, basketball, and my personal favorite, hockey. I have played hockey for 11 years now and I still am not sick of it. I love talking about sports but I would rather go outside and play them. My family is a huge part of my life. I have my mom and dad and 2 siblings. I have an brother 7 years older and a sister 7 years younger. People always look at me funny when I tell them this but I just laugh cause I love them. My brother has sadly fallen away from the gospel. Some parts of his life I look at as if he was trying to show me the way. I try to stay positive and I hope one day he will come back to the LDS faith and know how true it is. I have loved every moment of my life and how awesome it is.

Why I am a Mormon

I remained true to the LDS faith for a few reasons. First of all I grew up in this religion. I have grown to love it and gained personal testimony that what I have learned is true. Second my testimony, I have a burning testimony of Joseph Smith. A few years ago I was in the Hill Cumorah Pagent and was given the role of "Praying Joseph Smith". We were staying near by and I met a woman that has done paintings for the Ensign and New Era (LDS Magazines). One morning she asked if she could take a few pictures of me in my Joseph costume. It was an amazing experience when a young girl around the age of 5 came up to me as I was taking a break and said "It's you, is it really you?". I smiled to the girl knelt down on my knee and said "no I'm not Joseph Smith but I know he was here and I know he went through a lot of things as a young boy." I know this gospel is true. I know that tithing is a huge part of life as well as praying and pondering the scriptures. I know that God and his Son, are always with us and will never do or put us in any situation we can't accomplish. I know that Christ loves us so much and that love or a smile go a long way. I know the gospel blesses families and brings souls unto Christ and brings them together.

How I live my faith

My faith and love for this church plays a huge aspect in my life. Every year in the Aaronic Priesthood I had some calling. In the youngest young mens group I was the secretary and 1st counselor. In the middle aged young mens group I was the 2nd counselor. In the oldest aged young mens group I was the 1st assistant to the bishop. In seminary (a youth religion class for high schoolers), I was the President of my class senior year. In the LDS church, the men age 14 and up go and serve and home teach other families or people in the ward/branch. This has always been a cool experience for me since most of the home teaching partners I've had are my dad or a man in the ward that treats me like the son he's never had. Every time I went home teaching I learned something whether it be from my companion or the family/person I was home teaching or even just learning from myself.
