Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a Mormon...yes it's true.

About Me

I grew up near the ocean and enjoyed body-boarding with my older brother and other friends in the ocean. During High School, I had the opportunity to go to classes for the first half of the day and then finish out the school day at a local elementary school where I volunteered as a teacher's aid. I learned how much I enjoyed helping others learn important things such as math, spelling, and also kindness and respect. I later enjoyed serving for 2 years a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a missionary, I was privileged to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to many of my brothers and sisters in my assigned areas. I currently have the very important roles of husband and father, and feel so blessed as I try to recognize and give thanks for Lord's hand in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my parents recognized the truths taught to them by the full-time missionaries. For both of my parents, the good examples of friends prepared them to listen to the message of the restored gospel. Then, despite opposition, they chose to have faith, repent, be baptized and confirmed, and to strive to keep the commandments every day. I am a Mormon because of faithful parents and because through the power of the Holy Ghost, I know for myself that the Book of Mormon is true and that the same teachings my parents received as young adults bless the lives of me and my family as we live them.

How I live my faith

I have the chance right now to associate with some of the most awesome youth in all the world. I have a church calling where I regularly meet with and teach the 16 to 18 year old young men in our neighborhood. We have weekly activities where we learn and serve. Much of this is achieved through the Boys Scouts of America program. I live my faith by trying to stay close to my Heavenly Father through prayer, scripture study, and making time for reverent reflection.
