Hi I'm Matt

I was born and raised in Provo with a strong LDS background. I'm studying to become an animator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student. I love a variety of things from athletics to arts. I've given up my sports career in pursuit of degrees in 3D animation, Illustration, Music Composition and Computer Science. I eventually want to work at Pixar studios.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. For a long time, I simply went through the motions of being a Mormon with the rest of my family. When I started attending High School with others devote to religions different to my own or devotely without religion, I decided that I really wanted to know what I believed. I began to study the scriptures and begin my own spiritual journey to discover what I believed. I came to the conclusion that I know this Church is true. I have seen it bless the lives of my family and my ancestors. I have decided that this is the faith I want to continue in and to raise my children in. I hope others can see the divinely inspired truths that this Church teaches and decide for themselves that it is something that should become part of their lives.

How I live my faith

The best way I have found to live my faith is to do just that, live it! I try hard to apply all of the principles of LDS gospel into my life to make myself an example to my friends. I prefer using actions as a teaching tool over words. I am involved with my church groups actively but I enjoy so many things that I'm involved in everything from basketball teams to musial groups. The only way people will be convinced of truth in any situation is if they see the truth at work. I try to show people that religion does not conflict with living a full and well rounded life. Rather, I try to call attention to the fact that religion is exactly what is needed in order to live a life that is truly joyous.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is simply being normal with a greater undsertanding of our existence on Earth and the steps both before and after our mortal life. Show more Show less
