Hi I'm Allison Liljenquist

I'm a missionary. I love acting, singing and history. I'm a future mother. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I just successfully vanquished my freshman year in the spring, and will soon be headed into my mission to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. I love to sing and act, and I love obsessing over good film and television. I read probably more than is healthy, and I love good food. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but I do know that I'm going to be an excellent mother someday - if I ever get around to growing up. I don't like artichokes, but I love asparagus and broccoli. I love learning new things, especially if they're history related. I love my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, and I love my Father in Heaven. I have never doubted their existence or their love, and have come to know them more as I've grown. The Gospel of Jesus Christ offers happiness - true happiness that cannot be found anywhere else.

How I live my faith

My favorite part of living my faith is sharing it with others through the talents I have been blessed with. I am a teacher for the nine year olds, and they keep me on my toes. It's such a blessing to be around such sweet, honest spirits and be able to teach them important truths about the gospel so that they might go on to live them. I was also a part of the Latter-Day Voices - a choir at the Logan LDS Institute that performed to share the gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Of all of the things I've done in my life, being in this choir and being able to touch the lives of so many has been one of my favorites and one of the most meaningful.

What is being a Mormon like?

Allison Liljenquist
Honestly, the best way I can describe being a Mormon is happiness and peace. There is so much strength in knowing that you have a Father in Heaven who cares for you, is taking care of you and wants the best for you. With that knowledge, anything is possible, and disappointments are fleeting. Show more Show less
