Hi I'm Kenzie Irvine

Kamisaraki! I grew up in Utah, I LOVE root beer, I served a mission in Cusco, Peru, so I LOVE Peruvians, and I'm a mormon!

About Me

I learned how to play the piano when I was 8 and that is my most favorite instrument to play, but I also know how to play flute and guitar. One of my most favorite things to do is read. I'm in college right now and I'm majoring in English, and I plan on writing books, children and adult books. I love my friends and family, they are a huge part of my life and I'm so grateful to have them in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life, but it hasn't been that easy. In my middle school, being a Mormon was frowned upon by the other students, so it was really hard for me to try and live the gospel while trying to fit in. I later made the decision to switch school, and it made all the difference. In my middle school, I'd have Mormon friends, but they really wanted to fit in, so they didn't really live up to the standards that I wanted to have, or they would keep their standards in a way I wasn't comfortable with. I changed schools right before I started high school and I finally got friends that helped my live up to my standards. I love those friends I made in high school. My family was also very supportive during that time and they also helped my live up to my standards. Now that I'm in college, it's my choice if I want to go to church or not, and I know without a doubt, that this is something that I wanted in my life and I never once ask myself if I want to go this Sunday or not, because I know that I want to go no matter what.

How I live my faith

When I was 17 I got to help out with the Special Needs activities. I was assigned a buddy and it was my duty to make sure she was happy and help her if she needed help. Ever since then I have just loved people like that and they have a special place in my heart. Last year I was called to the Activities Committee in my Singles Ward, which basically means I got to help set up activities where anyone who wanted to come was welcome to come and met people. That was really fun and I loved being able to help people have fun and meet new people. This year I have been called as the Visiting Teaching Supervisor, which means I basically make sure the girls are visiting each other and making sure everyone feels included. This is one of my favorite callings, because I love to serve others and this is a way that I can do that.
