Hi I'm Ashlee Rose

I am a nurse. I am a future missionary. I am a humanitarian. I love great white sharks. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was blessed to grow up with a loving family of six in Utah. After I graduated from high school, I got involved in taking humanitarian trips to various countries. There is nothing more satisfying than to help others find happiness, no matter how minimal or temporary it may be. I especially love working with children and babies. I recently obtained a degree as a registered nurse and I hope to specialize in both pediatrics and humanitarianism in the future. In a few weeks I will be serving a mission in South America! I am passionate about a variety of things including dance, oil painting, playing the piano, reading, skiing, hiking, running, volunteering, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I also love spending time in the beautiful mountains near my house.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being an active participant in the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me more happiness and strength than I could ever imagine. This life is difficult for every soul in different ways and the world is weakening at a rapid rate. The best way to receive immense happiness and strength to overcome those many challenges is to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ and act upon one's faith. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is based upon complete truth because I have prayed to Heavenly Father and received powerful answers to my prayers regarding this truth. The darkest times in my life have been when I was not fully utilizing prayer and faith in my Heavenly Father. When I follow the commandments we have been given and constantly exercise my faith in God, I find true and everlasting happiness that cannot be altered by any negative circumstance I experience. The Savior suffered every pain, affliction, sorrow, and heartache that anyone has and ever will experience so that we may repent of our sins, follow His example, and live in paradise with Christ and our Heavenly Father once more. I know that the Savior looks down upon us and hopes so badly for us to ask for the help that he can so freely give. He must wait for us to humble ourselves enough to ask. I know that with God NOTHING is impossible (Luke 1:37). I know that his plan of happiness is the only way to true happiness. I know that He loves us more than we will ever be able to comprehend. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God and the general authorities are also called of God. I know that Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son and translated the Book of Mormon through the Holy Ghost. I know that as we have faith in Heavenly Father and His will for us, he gains more faith in us to accomplish amazing things. People can change no matter how far away from God they may feel. His love has NO bounds. I believe in Christ and hope to always prepare to meet him again!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by putting the gospel of Jesus Christ at the very center and core of my life. When I focus upon the gospel, everything else in my life falls into place. When I receive a responsibility in the LDS church I try to magnify it in a way that brings me and those I serve closer to Heavenly Father. I believe with all my heart that Heavenly Father gives us trials to mold us into the person we are destined to become. We suffer through trials in order to have the empathy to help others in the future and participate in God's work. People are placed in our lives to guide us to Christ. We have to choice to act as disciples and guide others to Christ as well. I believe in the boundless power of a testimony and its ability to change lives forever. I have realized that my testimony of this gospel is my most prized possession. Any chance to share your beliefs and faith in God with another soul is life-altering and strengthening. I believe that the most important concept we must come to know in this life is that we have a Heavenly Father who loves each of us individually and unconditionally. I strive to help people understand this everyday.
