Hi I'm Meg

I'm a California girl. I'm a runner. I love to do crazy things. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an enthusiastic 22 year old girl from Temecula, California. Spent my childhood growing up at the beach--definitely took advantage of it too. If you invite me boogie-boarding, chances are I'll take you out. Just saying. I love to run; it's a sort of therapeutic escape for me. It is in those captivating moments when I love to let my body do one thing and let my mind wander. Nature, art, and photography are some of those wandering places for me. I could easily get lost in any of them. For two years, I studied Communications at Brigham Young University-Idaho. My experiences and the friends I made there, really shaped me. Every day was an adventure. I am the lucky big sister of six, with the best parents ever. My family means the world to me, and I am so happy that we are forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in Jesus Christ. I know that He lives. That He knows me. That He loves me. I believe that we have a living prophet on the earth today, just as in times of old. His name is Thomas S. Monson. I believe that in the spring of 1820 in Palmyra, New York, a boy of 14 was visited by God and His Son, Jesus Christ. His name is Joseph Smith. Through revelation, he was able to restore the same church established by Christ while He was on earth. Joseph was given specific modern-day commandments to help lead and guide these current generations. This true gospel which was once lost, is now restored. I believe in a divine Plan of Salvation--a Plan of Happiness. That this life is a time of testing and trials; a time of growth. That it's temporal. Transitional. And truly meant to be enjoyed. I believe in eternal families. That families are forever. That we can, if proven worthy in this life, return to live with our Heavenly Parents in a celestial realm someday. They love us. They want us to succeed. They want us to be happy. This is what I know. I love this gospel with all my heart, and strive to live it every day of my life.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a missionary for my church in our nation's capital. In January 2013, I answered my call to the Washington D.C. North Mission, and will be here for a year and a half. It's already begun to grow on me, and home now has a new meaning. I feel so privileged to be a representative of Christ.
