Hi I'm Carolee Nelson

Born and raised in Las Vegas NV. Mother, grandmother. dentisry. quilting, sewing, music, dance, decorating, crafts.

About Me

I come from a long line of ancestors who were Mormon. I was born and raised with my twin sister in Vegas and have two more sisters. I am happily married to my High Shcool sweatheart. I am a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 4. I am retired from marketing, production, and coordinating treatment in the Orthodontic field. I enjoy machine quilting, embordiery, music (especially childrens music), dance, baking, home decorating, and watching old movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful to know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who knows me by name, knows my heart and mind and loves me no matter what. I am thankful for his son Jesus Christ and for what he did for me on the cross. I know that God the Father and Jesus Christ lives. I'm grateful to have the knowledge of where I have come from and where I am going. I feel great comfort and peace in knowing that when I am down, have a problem, or feel all alone that I can pray and ask my Father in Heaven to calm my troubled heart and that he hears and answers my prayers. The Lord has performed many mircles in my life. In my youth I had Epilepsy and because of the medication I had to take, I was told I could not have children. I had three beautiful health children and by his grace I no longer have Epilepsy. I hear witness that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true.

How I live my faith

I teach children on Sunday. I belong to a women's group in the church and have the priviledge to visit and teach 4 women once a month in their homes. I take them a message or scripture for them to ponder and usually take them a treat. This women's group gets together once a month and we learn how to improve ourselves from- homemaking skills, to raise children, being a better spouse to budgeting the check book, to improving our health and our spiritual relationship with our Heavenly Father and our brother Jesus Christ. I also volunteer at the Temple once a week.
