Hi I'm Danielle Rider

I grew up and live in Idaho. I attend BYU-I, and am working toward a degree in Elementary Education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student who is studying Elementary Education. College is challenging but I enjoy the work and the things I am studying. I enjoy reading and drawing in my spare time. My favorite sport is Basketball but I enjoy playing all sports. One of things that I enjoy most is spending time with my family. I have a large family and when we are together we always have fun. My siblings are my best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through the testimonies and examples of My parents, siblings, and church leaders I was able to gain my own testimony of the gospel. Through study and faith and trials the spirit has witnessed to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. I am a Mormon because It makes my life better and makes me happy. I am a Mormon because being a Mormon brings me closer to the Savior and helps me to live his teachings.

How I live my faith

Since I am attending College I have the opportunity to spend time in many wards. I have held many callings in the Church and am currently called as third Sunday Relief Society teacher in my collage singles ward at school. Being an teacher has been a great blessing in helping me understanding principles at a deeper level. I am also a visiting teacher to two sisters in my ward. Visiting teaching in a collage ward is hard because you don't have as much time to get to know your sisters but it is still rewarding to teach and learn from them. Visiting has also been a wonderful service opportunity.
