Hi I'm Courtney Galbraith

I'm Mormon! I know it! I live it! I love it!

About Me

I was born in Arizona. I have 5 siblings, all of whom I love very much! My mom and dad are my role models and I have no idea where I would be without them! I love reading, music, sports, and being active! But I also love just hanging out with my friends and family playing games or watching a movie. I'm a college student at Brigham Young University Idaho, majoring in Therapeutic Recreation. I want to help troubled kids and bring joy back to their lives through different activities. I'm taking a year and a half break from school and an serving a mission for the Church in Scotland and Ireland!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of this Church and so I was born into it. I got baptized when I was eight years old and have grown up into the Church. Growing up, I realized that I had leaned more on my parents belief in the Church rather than learning for myself if it was true. I had a lot of struggles in high school and looking back now I realize it's because I hadn't taken time to grow my relationship with God and because I wasn't living what I had always grown up with. I decided to pray and it was over time through prayer and scripture study that I came to know for myself that this Church is true! My answer came over time, it wasn't just all at once. I began to realize all the things my Savior had done for me and began to look back on my life and realize all the feelings and prayers that were answered. I realized that my God does love me and He had always been there for me! I know that my Savior lives! I know this Church is true and I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God because of the way that I feel when I pray about it. I have a warm, comforting feeling of peace in my heart! I know exactly where I would be without God and this Gospel in my life and I know that I never want to be there. It has made such a tremendous difference and has brought a joy to my life that I know I could find no where else. I love this Gospel with all my heart and know with every part of me that it is true!

How I live my faith

In the past, I have served in the presidency of our women's program, in the Church, in many different positions like the Secretary and 1st and 2nd counselor. Right now, though, I am serving an 18 month mission for the Church. I'm putting my whole heart into teaching people of Scotland and Ireland about the light of Christ and about this Gospel! The way I live my faith is just by my daily actions. I read my scriptures and converse with my Father in Heaven through prayer and I try and live as though my Savior was standing right beside me!
