Hi I'm Ben

I feel as comfortable in work boots, as I do in gym shoes, dress shoes or barefoot. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest joy in life is my family. I love doing anything with my wife and children. We enjoy most sports together. We love playing football in the yard, having friends over and shooting the potato gun. We love summer nights at the beach playing Frisbee and bocce. It seems I am always remodeling another home and coaching my children in basketball or baseball.

Why I am a Mormon

My father, the son of Italian immigrants to the United States, was baptized as a young Marine on an island during World War II. My mother's ancestry is full of Mormon Pioneers. I identify with the faith and sacrifice of both my family lines. I asked myself as a teenager, "What do I believe?" I held the Bible in my hand. It seemed to speak to me of the Roman Catholic ancestry I have, particularly the faith of my grandmother. I love the Bible and the messages throughout it, even at that young age I loved it. Then I held in my other hand the Book of Mormon, which called to me of the faith, example, testimony and teachings of my childhood. The Church has given me deep purpose that makes decisions clear to me.

How I live my faith

From a young age God has given me the gift to love people. As long as I can remember, when I have met someone who might be difficult to get to know, or who others say they don't like, I look for their good qualities and then they are genuinely easy to love. I strive to serve others by my membership in the Church through teaching and ministering to people directly through the scriptures and gospel or just by kindness. When I coach children and youth, it is my thought and prayer that they will feel good about who they are and feel my love for them. I am sure that is my desire because of the love I have felt from my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ throughout my life.
