Hi I'm Sarah Lorna Bailey

My favorite color is green, I love floral arranging, the smell of a greenhouse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently in grad school for a Masters of Art, balancing work and navigating through my late twenties. My favorite pass times are spoiling my niece and nephew, collecting plants, reading and road trips.

Why I am a Mormon

There comes a point in every life when you need to choose for yourself what you believe outside of how you were raised, outside of what your family believes or thinks your should do, and outside of what society thinks you should do. It's incredibly liberating to make an independent choice for yourself that aligns with your truth. That's why I live my life the way I do. Not because it's how I was raised or it's what my culture expected of me; I choose this life because I know for myself of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe whatever your soul is yearning for you will be drawn towards and your intuition will recognize whatever 'it' is. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I have stayed a member because it what my soul has recognized as my truth. I know with every fiber of my being I am loved and known by a very present Father in Heaven. I know without a doubt that love is simply always there for me, even when I don't feel worthy, and for every single being on this earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing love. For many years I unconsciously created habitual thought patterns based in fear as coping mechanisms, which in turn resulted in my choices and actions based in insecurities and worries as well. I didn't understand the concept of faith vs. fear because I knew I had both inside of me and I didn't know how to separate the two. I have finally come to understand the unconditional love of my Heavenly Father and Savior, because love is the most powerful motivator for lasting, fulfilling and eternal change. It's a choice I have to consciously make every day. But by allowing myself to let go of past fear and hurts automatically opened my heart to receive more love and light from my Father in Heaven. By seeking after more love and light, I know that is what I'll be drawn to. I believe that when you live your life in such a way that you are a light to another, you're living your life right. I chose love and light.
